Who We Are

Your Hosts

We’re Jen, John, Evan, Eric, and Ashley. Adventure is at the heart of our lives, and we especially love to tailor our experiences to include Evan, who has special needs. Whether we’re scuba diving, skiing, or enjoying water sports, our adventures always revolve around family, faith, and the great outdoors.

 

We find our peace on a hiking path or while watching the sunrise over a lake, and we’re passionate about fitness, health, and wholesome living. Organic food and outdoor activities like running and hiking keep us energized, though we’ll always enjoy a good glass of wine or a cold IPA.

What makes Vista Heights Lodge unique?
Vista Heights Lodge offers 180-degree panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains from the highest home in the development. It’s surrounded by the national park on two sides, providing an exclusive and tranquil setting. Guests can enjoy our heated indoor/outdoor pool, blending relaxation and adventure.
How do I access the lodge?
The drive up to Vista Heights is a scenic, paved road that winds through the mountain. We provide detailed directions, and our road is well-maintained for safe access. While 4-wheel drive is typically not needed, it may be required in inclement weather. During snowy conditions, chains may be necessary—this is no different than accessing any home with a view in the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the stunning views on your way up!
What amenities are included?
Vista Heights Lodge is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a heated indoor/outdoor pool, a hot tub, multiple Roku TVs in guest mode, a Charbroil Edge electric grill, a theater room, and high-speed internet. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking and dining.
What can I do nearby?
Our lodge is ideal for nature lovers and adventurers. With the national park surrounding the property, hiking trails are just steps away. We are located halfway between the lively Pigeon Forge and the peaceful Townsend, so you can enjoy both relaxation and adventure.
Is the pool heated year-round?
Yes, our indoor/outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable 85°F year-round, perfect for relaxing no matter the season.
What should we know about wildlife?
You'll likely see local wildlife, including black bears, wild boar, and deer. While it’s exciting, please remember to use the bear-proof garbage cans and never feed or approach the animals. Safety tips are provided in our guest guide.
How do I check in and access the property?
We provide a seamless self-check-in process. You'll receive a door code and instructions via email before your arrival. The door code allows easy access to the home, and we’re always available if you have any questions.
Can I adjust the spa’s settings?
The spa is preset to standard heating mode for optimal comfort. Please avoid changing the mode to ensure a consistent experience. If you accidentally switch to Economy or Sleep mode, instructions are available in the guest book on how to return to Standard Mode.
What do we do if something goes wrong?
We are committed to making your stay perfect! Contact us immediately if any issues arise, and we’ll do our best to resolve them quickly.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM. We offer self-check-in with a keypad code. Please let us know if you’ll be arriving late.
Is early check-in or late check-out available?
While we understand the need for flexibility, we typically cannot accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs, as our cleaning team requires ample time to prepare and clean the larger property to our high standards. Thank you for your understanding.
Are there any hiking trails nearby?
Vista Heights Lodge is bordered by the Smoky Mountain National Park on two sides and is conveniently located under four miles from the park entrance. While there is no direct access to trails from the home, popular hiking spots are just a short drive away.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Vista Heights Lodge to maintain the comfort and cleanliness for all guests.
Do I need to clean up before I check out?
We ask that guests place dishes in the dishwasher and start it before leaving. All towels should be placed in the bathrooms, and any trash should be taken to the bear-proof cans outside. Our cleaners will take care of the rest!
How do I use the Roku TVs?
Our Roku TVs are set to guest mode, allowing you to easily sign in to your streaming accounts and enjoy your favorite shows. Remember to log out before you check out!

"This was a great spot for 2-3 families. Loved having 2 king rooms for adults on the first floor. Views were amazing and loved being on the quieter area of the Smokies. We were able to drive into the touristy areas when we wanted, but generally enjoyed the peaceful area around us and the great hiking. We watched football on the covered porch one evening and watched the sunset. Kids loved the pool, and I loved being able to watch them from inside!"

"WOW!! The views were absolutely stunning, making it a perfect spot to relax and refresh. The photos don't do it justice! The home is brand new, beautifully decorated and there are so many thoughtful touches throughout each room! We loved how the pool and hot tub are on the same floor as the main living area, kitchen, and wrap around deck. There was plenty of space to spread out while still feeling we were all together. I also highly recommend the Peaceful Side Social Brewery and ice creamery just a short drive away!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway."
